How Does C=O Chemistry Work?

How Does C=O Chemistry Work? Most of us have heard of the C=O chemistry by now, but how many of us understand the concept? In chemistry, C=O stands for Charge and Oxygen, one of the elements that makes up the backbone of the body. This is just one of the many complex steps that our body has to perform in order to maintain our overall health. Our bodies have a limited amount of oxygen in them, and when we breathe, the oxygen is absorbed into our bloodstream. The oxygen passes through our lungs, and out of our mouth. We then breathe in fresh air and the process repeats itself again. What we call oxygen in the atmosphere is actually Oxygen that is already inside our cells.Oxygen is one of the most important elements to the human body. This is especially true when we think about our respiratory system. Our lungs are mainly responsible for carrying out this process. A lot of studies show that the amount of oxygen that we get out of our food each day is very minimal. A lot of nutrients that our body needs are not going to be supplied to it due to this problem.Owing to the fact that we can not get enough oxygen from our foods, there has been an increased use of technology and supplements that help give us enough oxygen while we are working out or otherwise engaged in activities that require high levels of exertion. Most people will consume more than their fair share of supplements on their diet. It is recommended that we consume some form of a daily supplement, and most often these will include multivitamins. Having the right combination of nutrients will help us feel better. There are many benefits to having a healthy C=O chemistry. One of the most notable benefits is that it increases our stamina and decreases our recovery time. With a healthy, functioning C=O chemistry, you will be able to train longer, produce more and better-looking muscles, and feel less fatigue. You will also improve your endurance and be able to do more workouts.Having a good C=O chemistry helps to promote positive growth and development in our bodies. It improves our cardiovascular system, increases our metabolism, and also provides us with an improved immune system. As you are able to feel better and more energetic, you will also be able to lift more weight and create more muscle. When you are training more, you are creating more mass, which is good for your body. C=O chemistry that is built properly should help your body to perform to its fullest potential.Maintaining a healthy C=O chemistry is also very important for athletes. This is important because the C=O chemistry helps to promote muscle growth, which is needed when you are trying to build up more muscle and develop more strength. If you are an athlete, you should always keep your body in good shape. Having a balanced C=O chemistry is important for athletes to maintain.Another reason that the C=O chemistry is so important is that it ensures that our body is receiving the proper amount of nutrition. If the body is not receiving the right nutrients, it is difficult to maintain our overall health. This is why a lot of athletes and gym goers take protein shakes or other nutritional supplements to ensure that they receive all the nutrients they need. The best way to determine whether or not you need these supplements is to take a look at your overall diet and see if you are getting enough vitamins and minerals.

Working For a Living

Working For a LivingIf you are interested in tutoring jobs in Fort Lauderdale, then you will want to have a look at the tutoring companies in Fort Lauderdale. There are so many of them out there that the perfect opportunity is just a click away.Lanny McLay has been a tutor for some time now and she is very satisfied with her job. She has two children and she can use the money that she saves for retirement to pay for school.Lanny McLay says that some of the tutoring companies in Fort Lauderdale offer a credit line to allow students to pay for their tutoring. This means that the parents of the student can pay for tutoring by taking out a line of credit from the credit card that they have. They get paid monthly and they do not have to worry about paying off the debt that they take out because the parents cover it.Teachers who want to work outside of the home, but need to be paid at least a little bit more are very glad to hear about this. The only problem is that there are only a few of the tutoring companies in Fort Lauderdale that actually require the teachers to pay for the tutoring. If you go into a company that requires the teacher to pay before receiving the cash income that they are guaranteed to earn, you may end up being cheated out of your money. Since the teachers will most likely already have enough bills to pay, they would rather not take any chances.Lanny McLay is pleased with the kind of money that she receives for her tutoring and for her family. She can make sure that she can pay for her retirement and for the kids' schooling because of the money that she earns from the tutoring companies in Fort Lauderdale.Lanny McLay knows that she is only doing what she has always wanted to do, which is to help her children. She does not need to worry about paying off the tutoring debt that she took out because the money that she receives pays for it.

Precipitation Chemistry Definition - Understanding Peridotite and Travertine

Precipitation Chemistry Definition - Understanding Peridotite and TravertinePeridotite and travertine are the two types of sedimentary rocks that exist naturally in the earth. It is important to understand the nature of each type of rock before you begin your exploration of precipitation chemistry definition.Peridotite is a type of sedimentary rock that is formed when magma cools and solidifies over time. The term 'peridot' is a French word that means earth or ground. Peridotite is also commonly referred to as 'ringwoodite.'Travertine is a type of sedimentary rock that is formed when salt deposits are buried beneath layers of a river bed. The term 'travertine' is also a French word that means rock.Generally, the peridotite and travertine are found in association with sedimentary rocks. This is the reason why precipitation chemistry definition tells us that the expression 'rock' refers to the combination of peridotite and travertine. By definition, peridotite is the product of peridot ite precipitation.Because the forms of the peridotite and travertine are similar, the precipitation chemistry definition is likely to be followed. As we have learned in the previous chapters, precipitation chemistry is used to describe the precipitation of fluids from a porous material into a more rigid form.We have already seen precipitation chemistry definition in action. Peridotite and travertine, together with other similar rocks, can be used to determine how much peridotite or travertine is present. When this substance has been deposited by a river or other waterway, it will almost certainly have been eroded or exposed by high temperatures and pressure. Because it is common knowledge that the peridotite and travertine are formed in association with sedimentary rocks, the concentration of the peridotite or travertine in these rocks can be used to determine if the formation was caused by precipitation chemistry or extrusion. The simple explanation of precipitation chemistry is tha t minerals are transported from mineral surfaces to the solid condition through the actions of precipitation. The precipitation process allows the elements from the surface to be transported to the solid state while the inert materials remain suspended. Each mineral forms in a slightly different way, but all minerals generally occur as what are called precipitation minerals.

Distributive Property

Distributive Property Distributive property is a well known property of binary operations that basically deals with the distributive law. This property can be explained by taking three variables x, y and z. This can be represented as follows: - x* (y + z) = x*y + x*z This can be more clarified by taking suitable examples. Problem 1: Evaluate the following by the use of distributive property a) 2 * ( 3 + 5) b)4* ( 6 + 5) c)3* (10 + 10) Solution: (a) Given 2* (3+5) = By applying Distributive property that is x* (y + z) = x*y + x*z = Therefore 2* (3+5) = 2*3 + 2*5 = 6 + 10 = 16 (b) Given 4* (6+5) = By applying Distributive property that is x* (y + z) = x*y + x*z = Therefore 2* (3+5) = 4*6 + 4*5 = 24 + 20 = 44 (c) Given 3* (10 + 10 ) = By applying Distributive property that is x* (y + z) = x*y + x*z = Therefore 3* (10 + 10) = 3 * 10 + 3* 10 = 30 + 30 = 60. Problem 2: Solve i (i+ i). Here i is iota of complex number. Solution: Given i (i+ i) = By applying Distributive property that is x* (y + z) = x*y + x*z = Therefore, i * (i+ i) = i*i + i*i = i^2 + i^2 = -1 + (-1) ( Because value of i^2 = -1) = -2.

Jointly Proportional

Jointly Proportional Jointly proportional is also known as joint variation. It is very much like a direct variation with a difference that the joint proportional involves more than one variable. If the ratio of a variable y to the product of two or more variables is constant, then y varies jointly. In other words we can say that it is jointly proportional to other variables. This can be represented mathematically as y = k * x* z where the variable k is the constant of variation. Example 1: The volume of wood in a tree varies jointly as the height and inversely as the square of the girth. The volume of a tree is 144 cubic meterswhen the height is 20 meters and the girth is 1.5 meters. What will be the height of a tree with a volume of 1000 cubic metersand girth of 2 meters? Solution: We set up the equation according to the problem V = (k * height)/ girth ^2 We plug in the value of V, height and girth to find k 144 = (k * 20)/ 1.5 ^2 k = (144 * 1.5 ^2) / 20 = 16.2 Now we can plug in the new values to find the new height. 1000 = (16.2 * height)/ 2 ^2 Height = (1000 * 4)/ 16.2 = 246.91meters Example 2: Given that a varies jointly with b and c. If a = 45 when b= 5 and c = 3 then find the constant of variation? Solution: a = k * b * c 45 = k * 5* 3 k = 45 / 15 = 3

5 Basic Rules of Italian Pronunciation

5 Basic Rules of Italian Pronunciation Brooke Neuman Learning new vocabulary doesnt get you far  unless you know proper Italian pronunciation. Italian  is known for being one of the most beautiful languages, and learning how to correctly speak it  is all  about mastering the right sounds. In this article, youll learn  the five basic rules of Italian pronunciation for beginners. 5 Rules for Italian Pronunciation Lets take a look at five  Italian pronunciation rules to help you better understand this language. After the video, keep scrolling for more detail on these helpful tips and tricks! 1. Vowels Similar to the English language, Italian uses the  vowels, a, e, i, o, u. However, there is a slight difference in the way vowels are pronounced in Italian. Here is how to pronounce Italian vowels. Remember that most words in Italian end in a vowel! A- Ah (as in, Amore) Practice it: Ah-moh-reh E- Eh (as in,  Bene) Practice it: Beh-neh I- eee (as in,  Vino) Practice it: Vee-noh O- Oh (as in,  Modo) Practice it: Moh-doh U- ooh (as in,  Lungo) Practice it: Loohn-goh 2. Consonants Some Italian consonants such as b,  f,  m,  n, and v   are pronounced the same as they are in English. The majority, however, are pronounced much differently. Below are some tips for how to pronounce Italian consonants. If you need to hear them sounded out, watch the video above for more explanation. D- Put your tongue to your teeth, to make the sound more explosive (for example,  dove) L- Sharper and more forward (for example, lingua) H- Usually silent (for example, hanno) P- A little less forced than in English (for example, pane) Q- Always accompanied with a U after (for example, quanto) R- Make sure you roll the R’s by flipping your tongue against your upper teeth  (for example, arriverderci) T- Very pronounced (for example, antipasto) Z- Often can sound like T, but add more zest to it, especially when two Z’s are together (for example,  pizza) There are some consonants in the Italian language that have two unique pronunciations, such as: S and SS- If S is used singular, in the middle of a word, it can often sound like a Z. If a double S (SS) is present, then the S is very much emphasized. (For example, casa, passare) Z and ZZ- When used singular, it can be silent, as in Dizionario, but when doubled in Pizza it can sound more like a T. G- If G appears before the letters A, O, or U, it has a hard sound like Grande, but if it precedes E or I, like in Gelato, it  has a soft and gentle sound. C- Before A, O, or U, it sounds like a K, as in Cane, but if before I or E, it has a CH sound, as in Cena. 3. Consonant Digraphs Another important thing to know about when learning Italian pronunciation is that there are several consonant digraphs in Italian. These are combinations of two letters that make one sound. Memorizing these combinations will allow you to more easily recognize the pronunciation of words. Below are some examples of how to pronounce Italian consonant digraphs correctly. CH- Spoken as K  (for example,  Che) GN- G is silent and N is hard (for example,  Gnocchi) GLI- G is silent, and L is the focus  (for example,  Famiglia) SC- Before A, O, and U, it sounds like SK (for example,  Scarpe). But if its before I or E, it has a SH sound as in Pesce. SEE ALSO: Fun and Interesting Facts About Italy 4. Double Consonants Many Italian words have double consonants.  It’s wise to remember that all consonants can be doubled except for the letter H because its always silent. Its common for English speakers to stumble over double consonants since there are very few in the English language. Heres a helpful hint: double consonants have a stronger and more  forced pronunciation together. For example, the CC is pronounced as K in the word Secca. 5. Phonetics Italian is a phonetic language, which means its written the way it sounds, and visa versa. This makes it fairly easy for English speakers to learn Italian pronunciation, compared to other languages. Nonetheless, its very important that you take the time to learn correct pronunciation.  There are tons of fun exercises that you can do to practice. Try singing popular Italian songs such as “Volare or That’s Amore” to really get the feel of the pronunciation. You can also  watch some Italian TV or listen to Italian radio. With these tips youll be speaking perfect Italian in no time! Post Author:  Liz T. What is it Like to Attend Colgate University

What is it Like to Attend Colgate University The tutors behind Varsity Tutors are not just here to teach theyre sharing their college experiences as well. Charlotte is a Boston tutor and 2013 graduate of Colgate University. She holds a Bachelors degree in Math and French and tutors several subjects, including Algebra tutoring, Calculus tutoring, and French tutoring. Check out what Charlotte had to say about her time at Colgate University: VT: Describe the campus setting and transportation options. How urban or safe is the campus? Are there buses or do you need a car/bike? Charlotte: Colgate University is small enough that a car is not necessary to get around campus. I did not have access to a car during the first two years that I was on campus, and I happily walked everywhere. There is a pretty sizable population of students who bike, which is also a convenient way to get around. There are bike racks everywhere, both on campus and in the village of Hamilton. I only had a bike for a few months while I was doing research in the summer of 2012, but I found it really enjoyable! The farthest a student would have to travel would be to get into town (about a 20-minute walk) or to the townhouses (a form of student housing). They are a similar distance from the main campus. While Colgate University is safe, thanks to the small community feel, there is the trusty Colgate Cruiser that is free to students and Hamilton residents. It runs regularly from campus to town, and it takes about 10 minutes. VT: How available are the professors, academic advisers, and teaching assistants? Charlotte:One of the greatest advantages to Colgate Universitys small size is the relationship between professor and student. Even though I graduated over a year ago, I still keep in touch with those professors who truly had an impact on my collegiate experience. While professors are busy, they are entirely willing to set up meetings outside of their office hours. I always had positive experiences with my professors, and I never felt like I was a drain on their time or energy. VT: How would you describe the dorm life rooms, dining options, location, and socialization opportunities with other students? Charlotte:All first-year living is located on the main campus, and it provides an exceptional outlet for socialization and support. Many of the dorms are suite-style, providing ample common space to meet all the new people who are around! Almost all of Colgate Universitys academic buildings are within a five-minute walk from the first-year dorms, allowing the new class to immediately feel like part of the community. There were two main dining halls during my time at Colgate University. I am aware that there have been several changes since, so I will only comment on my experience. The main dining halls always had many options, from basic pasta bars to a large variety of vegan and vegetarian options. There was also a fully stocked (and delicious) salad bar that I definitely took advantage of! VT: Which majors/programs are best represented and supported? What did you study and why? Did the university do a good job supporting your particular area of study? Charlotte:I chose my double major because it challenged multiple aspects of my intellect. I loved studying Math because there was a sense of community amongst all of the students who trudged their way through challenging classes like Number Theory, and who still loved the subject so much. There were also donuts and bagels twice a week, which definitely helped me through some rough weeks. French was an entirely different experience because I was able to study abroad through a Colgate University program. The support Colgate University gives to its study abroad students was certainly one of the strengths of all the foreign language programs. VT: How easy or difficult was it for you to meet people and make friends as a freshman? Does Greek life play a significant role in the campus social life? Charlotte:Because of the way that first-year housing is organized, meeting people is not a problem. I became very attached to all of my dormmates who lived on the same floor as me, and I could even name every person who lived in my dorm. I met even more people when I joined Delta Delta Delta as a sophomore. While there are only a few fraternities and sororities on campus, they do have solid control over many of the largest social events. However, the greatest strength of the system is that recruitment does not begin until sophomore year for both men and women. I was thus able to establish meaningful friendships outside of the Greek system. This was essential to my experience because it never felt like I only had one social option. VT: How helpful is the Career Centerand other student support services?Do many reputable companies recruit on campus? Charlotte:Colgate University has a very successful Career Services office that was constantly bringing interesting companies to campus. There is a Colgate University-only career portal that connects students directly to posted positions. On top of the great services provided here, the alumni network is incredibly strong and willing to help fellow members of the Colgate University community. VT: How are the various study areas such aslibraries, the student union, and dorm lounges? Are they over-crowded, easily available, spacious? Charlotte:Every dorm for every year has at least one study space per floor. Even in the on-campus apartments for upperclassmen, there is a communal space that is open to all people who live there. These spaces are clean, generally quiet, and conducive to group study. They are quite convenient too, never more than a few steps from any room! Additionally, almost all academic buildings have at least one dedicated study space, or individual study rooms. These are honestly hard to come by during exam weeks, but there are so many options that finding a seat is possible. There are multiple libraries on campus, but the biggest and most beautiful is Case-Geyer. There are five floors, and each floor has a different feel that makes finding your preferred atmosphere easy. There is even a silent reading room on the fifth floor that looks out on the beautiful Chenango Valley that surrounds Colgate University. VT: Describe the surrounding town. What kinds of outside establishments / things to do are there that make it fun, boring, or somewhere in between? To what extent do students go to the downtown area of the city versus staying near campus? Charlotte:Colgate University is in Hamilton, New York, which has a population of about 4,000 when school is not in session. The student body roughly doubles the population, making for a small-town feel. It is possible to get to Syracuse (about an hour away) for many restaurants and the airport. However, Hamilton is an extremely welcoming town, and staying in town is always fun. No matter what you do on any given night, if you head downtown, you will certainly run into someone you know. There are several restaurants and a few bars that offer options for the weekend. Almost everyone goes downtown for amusement. VT: How big or small is the student body? Were you generally pleased or displeased with the typical class sizes? Charlotte:Colgate University has an undergraduate student body of less than 3,000, which makes the community very tight-knit. There is a closeness felt by everyone who has gone to Colgate University, and part of it is this small, concentrated environment. I was extraordinarily happy with class sizes. The largest class I ever took had about 30 people in it, and that was a first-year chemistry class. After that, the average for my classes was probably less than 20. The size definitely contributed to the feeling that teachers had time to focus on each class, and even more than that, on each student. VT: Describe one memorable experience with a professor and/or class. Perhaps one you loved the most or one youregretthe most. Charlotte:I had many exceptional experiences in the classes for my major, but the best thing about Colgate University was the focus on the liberal arts model. I was able to take an Urban Geography class as a junior that really changed how I interact with the world around me. It was remarkable that I could take an advanced geography class, and not only succeed in the class, but have it change the path I would take in the future. The professor was excited to help me adjust to the way the class was taught, and really helped me see how intertwined the urban landscape is. Check out Charlottes tutoring profile. 5 Career Tips for Introverts in IT - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / 5 Career Tips for Introverts in IT - Introvert Whisperer 5 Career Tips for Introverts in IT Kayla Matthews May 7, 2018 Career Development No responses Go to top There are many people with savvy and brilliance in the IT field, though they might find themselves inhibited in their careers and networking by introverted tendencies. Not everyone can exude charisma and extroverted tendencies spontaneously, which is entirely OK. Introverts should not be expected to transform their personality for a job, but there are some tips they can heed to elevate their standing in the IT field better. 1. Work to Exude Confidence Extroverts tend to receive more credit than introverts often because they tend to be better at garnering attention. Without becoming an extrovert, however, there are several ways that introverts can make their presence known. Specifically, eye contact, straight posture and a head held high are signs of confidence that can go a long way. Research shows that non-verbal communication plays a significant role in how people perceive you. As a result, doing some seemingly minor things like smiling more can help introverts appear more social and willing to engage. Another benefit is that by smiling and acting in a better mood, you very well may become in a better mood, which has ample health benefits. In a field like IT, where many professionals spend ample time in front of the computers, coworkers will take notice when someone uses their time away from the screen to show confidence and amiability. 2. Articulate Your Knowledge Introverts sometimes make the mistake of speaking too quickly, in fear that the substance of their words does not warrant additional time. Get out of that mentality and work on paying attention to your voices tone, articulation and tempo. Although words are only a portion of our communication with the world and co-workers, being able to relay words without rushing them is a skill that requires practice. Fortunately, introverts can join organizations such as Toastmasters to practice speaking in front of an audience. They will aid in finding the perfect balance in your tone and general articulation. Even if an IT professional does not have to speak in front of large audiences now, the skill is useful for conversations in general. Down the line, they may receive an invitation to host a TED talk, as many IT professionals have in the past. In that case, being able to articulate your knowledge is extremely useful. 3. Become a Temporary Introvert Although expecting an introvert to become an extrovert in every facet of life is unrealistic, introverts are capable of at least temporarily assuming some extroverted aspects. Even if its just for a few minutes a day, practice more socially extroverted tendencies, like engaging in office conversations and asking coworkers questions about their weekend or work at hand. No one is asking that you bug people incessantly with banter â€" since there are aspects of extroversion and introversion that are too much â€" though devoting at least a few minutes to extroversion can be beneficial in cultivating relationships. IT professionals can view this period of temporary introversion as a nice reprieve from isolation in front of a monitor. Work breaks, after all, have been proven beneficial to health. Next time, make your break and opportunity to engage with others, even if briefly. 4. Network with Industry Experts Even if you and your coworkers have different interests, there is at least one thing you have in common: the desire to share IT information. This topic provides a great way for introverts to become more engaged with their co-workers while also learning from others’ experiences. Whether youre venting about relatable IT research stories or discussing ways to improve a trending skill, you can boost your career by simply listening to professionals’ in the field. 5. Participate in Company and Industry Events The IT field is ripe with industry events, where you can parlay your passion for IT and other topics into networking opportunities. Computer science extends beyond a single industry, making the eclectic nature of IT a great one for honing in on specific topics and finding relationships as a result.
